Happy Belated Birthday | Searching Textbooks
Friday, 15 August 2014 @ 19:41 | 0 Comment [s]
Last week my room mate bought some cakes for all her house mates, and she said that she did that because she had no chance to celebrate our birthdays this year. Indeed she is a very active student in Curtin furthermore our birthdays were on holidays and free week.
Last week was tiring. Welcoming new students to Curtin, I need to undergo a lot of process to help them. From finishing and completing all forms, applying student pass for them, any registration for examples.
The effort of searching for textbook also made through out this week. Better to search earlier because the later the harder. Each textbook costs me around RM200 so I am trying to search for alternatives such as second hand textbooks.
Next week our assignments will start and I am preparing mentally and physically for all assignments that I will face :)

Yesterday, one friend came to my house to return my fish, Arjuna Betta. Hoho. He looks so sad when he came home. Maybe he missed me. I put him into his temporary house and start cleaning his small house. I changed new water and put some anti-chlorine, and there he goes, to his well-cleaned house. Wee...
My room mate play with him and made him play around and kept widening his tail. Only then he looked happier and I was no longer worry about him. This morning, I gave him some foods and went to my class. When I reached home from a meeting in the evening, I saw him making a lot of bubbles in his house.
This afternoon I had one lecture and then I had one meeting in the evening regarding events that will be organized by CYA during open day for this year. Tomorrow, I am going to have another two classes and I haven't prepared anything for the classes. So I am going to prepare for it now. Bye

This is my second week working in Sugarbun. I enjoy working there and I also enjoy studying all four units this semester. This week I am about to settle 2 payments which cost almost RM400 for academic and another RM450 for house rent.
Currently I manage to organise my expenses so everything is on track. This is one thing that I learnt all semester - how to manage my money. You know sometime you realised that you must spend wisely but at some moment you forget and just buy anything you want which is something not important at all.
The next challenge that I will surely have to face is on how to manage my time. Everyday we were given the same 24 hours but not all day I spend each hours wisely. When I have free time, sometime I don't know what to do but sometime I have a lot of things to do but I don't have much time.
Tomorrow I am going to attend one lecture, and meet some friends for many kinds of purpose such as selling book, buying calculator, meeting for Open Day 2014 and many more. Hopefully I can cross check all my to do list for tomorrow. Smile!

Okay so this is my inspiration board. Sometime I put some pictures of Volkswagen cars. Sometime I put some colourful handbags pictures and currently I am putting family pictures because I miss them so much. I feel more motivated studying with the presence of the pictures of my family.

Thank you to my Abah for converting my biscuit tin into a coin box. I have been using this coin box since 2012 until now. For this semester starting from January 2014 until June 2014 I managed to collect 50 cents coins and had exchanged them into note cash from nearby grocery shop/
I have around RM50 from collecting 50 cents coins for 6 months and guess what have I done to the money?

I painted my nails! It was two weeks before exam, when I start to feel nervous and stress with all the pressure given to us to pass all units. So I started to wear lipsticks, eye liners and even nail polish.

I have published an entry regarding my weekend activity which was making oreo pudding and I received a comment asking for the recipe.
This time my house mates and I have made some ice pop / popsicle / Malaysian ice cream together. We have made two flavours which are Milo and grape. It is not easy to find ice pop in Miri so we plan to make it ourselves.
Catsitting instead of babysitting

My house mate is allergic to cats fur, so do I actually but I insist to touch cats because I love cats so much. Last free week, when almost everyone went back to their home town, my neighbour asked for a favour, to take care of his cats while he went for dinner, I won't decline that!
Her name is Jane and I won't adopt any cat like her ever. She is so choosy. Friskies? No! Raw fish? No! Boiled fish? No! Boiled fish where the bones of the fish has been removed? Yes! Oh no I won't help my cats to do that if I have one! Do it yourself cat -.-
All she do was leaning her body here and there. Lazy cat haha.

My house mate is inviting her friends home for some appreciation dinner as she and her team has just built and decorated a library for an urban school in Miri. Hence, I think that it is a good idea to try a new dessert and let her team taste it. So I google some ideas and decide to try Oreo pudding :)
You know, as a university student, living in a budget, anything free is very tasty. They all saying that "tasty", "do make it again next time, ya", "this is so nice", "why haven't you try this before?" any many more.
Personally, me too. I don't care how your nasi lemak taste like, how your ayam masak merah taste like, if it is somewhere near to the end of the month and my scholar haven't bank in my allowance, I will just eat anything. That's fact.
If you have been a university student before, you might face this before. If you haven't, enjoy your uni life. Haha
