Assalamualaikum :)

I will continue going to classes starting tomorrow after having one free week. As a degree student in Curtin University, we will have 2 free weeks and 1 study week. The study week is one week before final examination starts and the free weeks are in the middle of the hectic semester. When I was in Foundation, I only have 1 free week and 1 study week.

The first free week, which was on 2nd September until 8th September was a totally "free" week. One day before the free week we submitted an assignment and we have a very enjoyable week. This time, I don't really call it as "free" week. We have one assignment to be submitted on the first day of free week. We have also one assignment due on the first day after the free week ends. What do I expect? Finishing the assignment during free week lah!

During the first free week, I went to Lambir National Park. We went jungle trekking and hiking Bukit Pantu. For the second free week, we went to Borneo Tropical Rain Forest Resort (BTRR). We have a tour, flying fox, hanging rope and boating activities. We have also spent a memorable day at the water park.

Lambir Hills National Park, Miri.

For Lambir National Park, it costs you RM10 to enter the trek. There are less than 10 public waterfalls open for tourists and there are approximately 40 waterfalls founded by researchers.

There are various chalets and camping sites here. One of the chalet that I have stayed before, which I think is the smallest have two rooms, two single beds in each room. There are also one toilet and one shower room, a fridge and a sink. The hall is furnished. For some chalet which is situated near to the hills, you will have extra cool water for shower in the morning. Visit this blog and this blog for pictures of chalet.

Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort

Personally I think BTRR is more deluxe compared to Lambir Hills. Some activities here are resort tour, water park, ball games at hall, nature walk, waterfall visit, lake boating, flying fox, fishing, pony ride, big swing, wet postman walk, kayak, hanging bridge and many more.

Some activities are included in paid package and the rest are charged RM10 each. The package price range RM30-RM80 for adult and RM20-RM60 for children. I went there in a big group under Curtin University so the price is slightly cheaper.

Good night. I am going to get sufficient sleep before class tomorrow.
