Kompleks Hamidah Yakup | Raya Celebration With The Orphans

Last Thursday I was invited to a raya celebration in Kompleks Hamidah Yakup which is an orphanage. I actually has been to the orphanage several times before this so these, some of them already know me and were happy to meet me that night.

The kids were performing a lot of dancing, singing and even fashion run. The host of the event also have a lot of activities for the kids which were entertaining. The primary school students were given some pictures for colouring contest.

The event was organised by Prudential. People from Prudential were very friendly and happy-go-lucky.

These are group photos taken by me. They said this picture will be posted in local newspaper. My friends were happy to take picture with the orphanage. Me? I was happy taking pictures of happy faces.

These are my mentees whom I met regularly for academic purpose and other extra activities under After School Project, a charity project organised by Interhill Employee Club. These kids were asking me to come again more frequent.

Hello. My name is Khaizureen but my mother once wrote my name as Dzureen when I was kindergarten, which is actually the combination of Darwis and Khaizureen, where Darwis is my father's name. When I grew up, I wrote my name as Dzureen Darwis in social network or DD in short but nowadays I am writing my real name in social network.

This blog is actually inspired by my mother who is so excited to know that her daughter is going to further her study in Miri, Sarawak and thought that it is a good idea for me to keep a journal. However, I am still writing in mess now, no regular journal or whatever so just random entries updated in this blog once in a while.
