CYA Appreciation DInner Masquerade Theme

Sunday 1 June 2014 @ 08:00 | 0 Comment [s]

Being a part of CYA family is very meaningful for me. There is always appreciation effort made for everything we had done together as a team. Even though there is no dinner like this, my big boss NJ will always remember to say sorry for everything harsh that might happen during the program even though she had done nothing bad.

CYA Camp is an annual event that happens in Curtin University. It is a very tiring event. Personally I will feel tired after the camp because I will always happy to accompany the participants to sleep in their "camp site" means that lack of sleep of course! Appreciation dinner always makes me feel appreciated.

The dinner theme for this year is Masquerade. I kept this as a secret before but we actually discuss about the theme during the steamboat gathering. We had so many ideas from rock and roll, back to school, black and white and many more but masquerade was chosen as a final theme.

In Curtin, this is my second time having masquerade dinner. Personally, what I like about masquerade is that I can see colourful props from everyone. Last year, the glitter from the mask actually sparkled all over my face so this year I wear something simple to avoid my face being glittered again.

So this is my mask, just a simple white mask. And the guy beside me is wearing Vendetta Mask because he is a fanatic fan of anonymous and I am the one who help him to buy the mask through an online shop that specialised in selling party mask. I have made purchases three time at Party Mart and I can say that their service and delivery is five star.

I also come out with a last minute idea to wear the hood, in addition it was raining heavily that night. Thanks to my mother for giving me the hood because I like it so much. My mother once dare me to wear it during any dinner in my university and I did.

There are more boys than girl in CYA but I can say that CYA girls are all strong, as strong as the boys. Of course. This two young ladies are my seniors who are taking Geology in Curtin.

Meanwhile this is my bestfriend since Foundation. I had never been to any dinner without her here in Miri.

There were a lot of perfomances made that day but the last performance was the best. THis two guys are very talented that we requested them to sing even more that night.

My advice for anyone who is planning to go for a dinner with "masquerade" theme is to wear a mask that is breathable, you can see your surrounding while wearing the mask and you can match any colour with the mask.
