Save the Earth

How do I save mother Earth? I have done this since I was in secondary school. This is my small contribution in reducing pollution to the environment; reusing used papers.

Initially, I did this because I found our there were too much unused paper in my class. Each of us can fill our papers into an A4 paper box per person. The teachers always give us photocopied handouts for the class session. Once a year, we did recycling the paper. I participates in the process of recycling the paper hence I was thinking besides recycling, there must be other alternative.

In recycling, we have 3R which are reuse, recycle and reduce so I thought that I should reduce the usage of blank A4 papers. For example, if I want to make some mathematics calculation, I can use the other side of the used papers before I finally recycle them. Then I decided to reuse the printed papers.

I put my papers into 3 groups. The first group is for the papers which have been used both side. This group will be directly recycled. The second group is the lined papers or test pads which have been used one side only and the other group is for papers which have been used one side only while the other side is totally blank.

I compile the the second group of papers using paper clips, staple them or make a hole and put a ring and this papers will be used for any writing purposes only.I did the same process to the blank papers but the blank papers can be use for writing or doodling.

Currently, I used these used papers for jotting down any idea or tips given by lecturers during lectures or tutorial classes. When I make the conclusion from the ideas and tips and write them down in my notebook, I can finally recycle the used papers.

P/S: There are still bundles of papers in my room that haven't processed yet. I will start to complie them this weekend.

Hello. My name is Khaizureen but my mother once wrote my name as Dzureen when I was kindergarten, which is actually the combination of Darwis and Khaizureen, where Darwis is my father's name. When I grew up, I wrote my name as Dzureen Darwis in social network or DD in short but nowadays I am writing my real name in social network.

This blog is actually inspired by my mother who is so excited to know that her daughter is going to further her study in Miri, Sarawak and thought that it is a good idea for me to keep a journal. However, I am still writing in mess now, no regular journal or whatever so just random entries updated in this blog once in a while.
