The Orientation Week
Friday, 20 July 2012 @ 20:38 | 0 Comment [s]
When I think about orientation week, I will always think about ice breaking. Here in Curtin, the orientation week was totally packed with briefing on the first day. I am not sure whether there are anybody that can catch up all talks on that day. It was really tiring. The officer of Curtin keep calling and texting me because she needs my documents as soon as possible.
The second day was only for registration session. Initially I was making a stone face because I can't register. I went to the student service office and get my ID number there. When I came back to register at the foyer, a cute tiny officer shouted my name and asked me to follow her to settle some things. I don't know what was going on and I just listen and follow her words. I went back home very early.
On the third day I met the lecturers. There is one word that come in my mind as my perspective on them - sporting. They look nice. They have warm smile. There were a lot of talks and briefing today but it was better than the other day because there were some motivational talks too.
On Thursday, there were some introduction on some of clubs present in Curtin University. I think the most important moment was before the orientation night because the discussion on groups performance give me indication on how each students can give cooperation later on.
Orientation week does not stop here. Tomorrow (Saturday). There will be some dinner in Eastwood Valley tomorrow but I couldn't make it. Tomorrow is the first day of fasting so I think I am not going as there will be some very tiring activity there.
